Transforming DEI Through Major Gifts at Your Nonprofit Today (2 -1 hour Seminars)

Yes, you can dramatically improve your diversity, equity, and inclusion at your nonprofit through proven fundraising methods.
There have been calls for DEI in the nonprofit world for 20 years. There has been a lot of hand wringing but little change.
There is a lot of white guilt but not a lot of clear direction as to how to make change happen at your nonprofit.  Yes, you can create a positive and welcoming atmosphere but beyond that, there are few answers.
This training is about the next step. How to analyze your organization's DEI needs, identify key diverse leaders and major donors. Go beyond tokenism and recruit wealthy, philanthropic, and connected people of color to your board. This is the only way to equity. This same process will help diversify your fundraising as well. 90% of Board Members are white, 73% of donors are white. Break the trend.  This training is highly practical and immediately useful. It's designed for Development leadership including Prospect Research leadership but will be especially effective if you include Board Member and other non-development leadership. This is two hour webinars.
Class 1:  DEI and Major Gifts Seminar- Overview of the problem, methods for change. Introduction to advanced prospect identification, recruitment methods, selling your Board and Leadership, and more.
Class 2:  DEI and Major Gifts Workshop- Live creating a DEI/Major Gifts plan with Armando. Answer specific questions and issues.
These webinars are presented via GoToWebinar. The fee is $150 per login/screen. After you register via GotoWebinar a PayPal screen will automatically open and allow you to pay that way.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

The Art of the Qualification Call
Mar 19, 2021 9:00 AM PDT at:

Sometimes called a “Discovery Call” it’s a vital skill that is sometimes not practiced regularly and it's rarely taught. Yet its an essential practice that needs to be learned by all development officers.

When meeting a new prospect for the first time how can you know how to move them forward after the first meeting? How much time are they worth, who’s attention should they be given at your institution? Do you know where their passion is at your institution? A good strong qualification can save your team and yourself so much time and accelerate cultivation of a major prospect. It can create larger gifts, earlier. Because of poor qualification many of our portfolio’s are full of people who will never make a major gift for a range of reasons.
This webinar is taught by a 30 year veteran of thousands of major gifts qualification meetings. Armando Zumaya has lectured at APRA, AFP Chapters, AFP Hemispheric, APRA Chapters, BBCON, FundraisingInfo.com, GIFT and many others. He has been quoted and interviewed in the Chronicle of Philanthropy and other publications.

This webinar is $48.00 per screen. When you click ‘Register” it will automatically open a PayPal page that will allow you to pay by credit card.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. We will review all the factors in a good qualification meeting. And help you write some key qualification questions that can help you discover what you need.
